The Former Governor of Abia State, senator kalu while paying tribute to his late father in -law said “As I reflect on his life, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. He wasn’t just an amazing in law , he was an incredible human being. His love, wisdom, and strength continue to guide us, and his memory is a source of comfort and inspiration. Even though he’s gone, his spirit lives on in those he touched, and his legacy will always be a part of us.As I wish the soul of my father-in-law to rest in peace, I wish to also thank all those who, one way or the other took part in the low key ceremony we held in his honour and in accordance to his wish”The senator representing Abia North senatorial district and chairman privatisation/ south – East Development commission committee of the senate extended his warm appreciations to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Soludo; Governor of Enugu State Barrister Peter Mbah ; Senator Victor Umeh; Senator Uche Ekwunife, the Catholic community of St. Francis Catholic Church Urunebo Enugu Ukwu amongst many other.

2025 Budget: Senate Passes ₦54.9 trillion Naira Appropriation Bill

The Nigerian senate has passed passed the 2025 Appropriation Bill, totaling N54.9 trillion.

This significant milestone was reached after extensive deliberations and collaboration among Senate members.

A breakdown of the budget reveals the following allocations:
• N23.963 trillion for capital expenditure
• N14.317 trillion for debt servicing
• N3.645 trillion for statutory transfers
• N13.64 trillion for recurrent expenditure

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio in his address commended his Distinguished Colleagues for their tireless work in ensuring the swift passage of the bill, stating,
