Customs Zonal Coordinator Commends Apapa Command on Revenue Performance, seizures

The Zonal Coordinator, Zone A, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs (ACG) Mohammed Babandede, has commended the Apapa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for its exceptional performance in revenue generation, anti-smuggling operations, and trade facilitation. The commendation was made during a familiarization visit to the Command on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

ACG Babandede praised the Command for exceeding its annual revenue target, noting that the officers and men had consistently surpassed expectations. He acknowledged the operational challenges faced by the Command and appreciated its notable achievements, which have boosted the morale of personnel.

The Zonal Coordinator also lauded the Command’s sustained anti-smuggling efforts, emphasizing the importance of this work in protecting the nation’s economy and security. He charged officers to maintain their integrity and commitment to trade facilitation, ensuring that legitimate trade is not hindered while keeping illicit goods at bay.
