Adamawa Governorship : ADC Stakeholders Reaffirms Support for Amb. Engr. Omar Suleiman

Stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Adamawa State have reaffirmed their support for *Amb. Engr. Omar Suleiman Dokaji* as the recognized and duly elected Governorship Candidate of the party ahead of the *2027 general elections*.
The delegation, comprising youth leaders, women leaders, ward coordinators and members of the Adamawa State Youth and Elders Forum, made the declaration during a solidarity and familiarization visit to Dokaji on *Monday, September 1, 2026*.
Prominent attendees included *Mohammed Kabir Ali (Dan Ali)*, Coordinator, Youth Brigade, Adamawa State; *Hashim Wadata*, State Secretary; *Hajara Abdullahi*, State Women Leader; *Mohammed Ibrahim Bala*, Ward Coordinator, Adarawo, Yola South; and *Umar Musa Aljazira*, Coordinator, Adamawa State Youth and Elders Forum, among others.
The meeting, which opened with prayers, featured goodwill messages from delegation members.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the stakeholders expressed appreciation for members who turned out and prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom and strength for Dokaji as he prepares to lead Adamawa State.
They stated that the purpose of the visit was to familiarize with the candidate and to reaffirm their commitment to the ADC, adding that the progress of Adamawa in 2027 requires _“purposeful, accountable, and people-oriented leadership.”_
The delegation described Amb. Dokaji as _“the real and unshakable candidate of the ADC”_ and vowed to protect the party’s mandate.
“We will not accept any attempt to undermine or take away what we described as our legitimate political mandate,” they declared.
In his response, *Amb. Engr. Omar Suleiman Dokaji* thanked the delegation for their solidarity and confidence in his candidacy.
He reassured them and the people of Adamawa that he remains the ADC Governorship Candidate and reiterated his commitment to the party and the state.
He called for _“unity, peace, discipline, and collective determination”_ among ADC supporters, emphasizing the need to work together to build a better future for Adamawa State.
The meeting ended with participants pledging renewed solidarity and determination to work for the ADC’s political journey toward the 2027 Governorship Election.
