*Customs Clarifies Form M Migration Process from NICIS 1 to
B ”odogwu

By Babatunde Aremu

The Nigeria Customs Service has issued a clarification on the migration process for Form M from the Nigeria Integrated Customs Information System (NICIS) II to the B’Odogwu Trade Management System.

A statement issued and signed by Assistant comptroller of customs and National public relations officer of Nigeria customs service, Abdullahi Maiwada gave this clarification on Friday:

“*No Fees Required*: The NCS has categorically stated that no fees have been introduced, approved, or authorized for migrating Form M from NICIS II to B’Odogwu. Claims suggesting otherwise are false, misleading, and entirely unfounded.

*Migration Process*: Importers and agents whose Bills of Lading or manifests have been transmitted to B’Odogwu but whose Form M was registered on NICIS II are required to submit a soft copy of their existing Form M to the Technical Supervisor in their Command. The NCS will then carry out the necessary migration at no cost.

*Post-Migration Steps*: After successful migration, traders are expected to log into their B’Odogwu dashboard, locate the already migrated “registered” Form M, click on it to view the full details, and use the “Create PAAR” button to proceed with PAAR processing.

– Warning Against
Scams*: The NCS urges stakeholders to disregard anyone demanding payment for Form M migration, as such practices are not only illegal but also undermine the Service’s commitment to transparency and trade facilitation. Affected persons should report such misconduct through official NCS channels.

*Commitment to Transparency*: The Service remains committed to delivering a user-friendly, transparent, and efficient trade environment powered by technology and integrity, under the leadership of Comptroller-General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.

– *Fraud Alert*: The NCS warns the public against fraudsters impersonating the Service on social media, offering fake auctions, job opportunities, or clearance assistance in exchange for payment. Nigerians are advised to verify information through official channels and report suspicious activities” the statement said
