CUSTOMS TINCAN ISLAND PORT RECORDS ₦16.4 BILLION IN SINGLE-DAY REVENUE VIA BODOGWU PLATFORM

The Tincan Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has announced a landmark revenue collection of ₦16,411,402,227.27 on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
A statement issued and signed by Public relations officer, Tincan island port command Oscar ivara on Thursday said this achievement was made possible through the effective deployment of the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS) known as Bodogwu.
The Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Frank Onyeka, described this feat as “a clear win for technological efficiency and collaboration.” According to him, the Bodogwu system has been instrumental in streamlining port operations, improving efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness.
Comptroller Onyeka further highlighted that the Bodogwu system has drastically improved the ability of licensed Customs agents and stakeholders to access payment platforms and complete cargo clearance processes efficiently.
This remarkable achievement underscores the impact of technology in enhancing revenue generation and port operations. The Tincan Island Port Command’s record-breaking revenue collection is a testament to the effectiveness of the Bodogwu system.
