The Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has wrapped up its inaugural Olugbani Summer Coaching program, marking a significant milestone in the community’s educational development.

A statement issued and signed by Chief Press secretary to the Executive Chairman Adamson Omobolaji said Over 1,600 students from Sari-Iganmu and Badia centers benefited from the program, which aimed to foster educational growth and community engagement.

The program featured intensive academic sessions designed to boost learning and strengthen community bonds.

Executive Chairman Hon. Jimoh Olawale Saliu provided substantial support to participants, including writing materials and 100 free General Certificate Examination (GCE) forms for deserving students. Additionally, he pledged to sponsor preparatory classes and provide Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for successful candidates. Outstanding students will also be considered for scholarships to encourage academic excellence.

The program has been hailed as a landmark success, with positive feedback from parents, students, and stakeholders.

This initiative underscores the LCDA’s commitment to education and community development.

The council plans to make future editions of the summer coaching program more robust and better equipped to empower the youth with the necessary tools for success. By doing so, the LCDA demonstrates its dedication to promoting quality education and supporting the academic aspirations of students in the Apapa-Iganmu community ¹ ².

Students who benefited from the program expressed gratitude for the initiative. Some noted that the GCE forms would have been unaffordable without the council’s support, highlighting the significance of this gesture. The LCDA’s efforts aim to bridge educational gaps and provide opportunities for students to pursue higher education ².
