Le Look House of Bags Celebrates 40 Years of Global Impact

It was a night of Tributes, Awards and celebration as Le Look House of Bags on Wednesday October I marked a major milestone, celebrating 40 years of global impact and dedication to empowering entrepreneurs in Africa.

The event, themed “Legacy of Resilience: Empowering Entrepreneurs for Africa’s Economic Future,” was held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos and featured award presentations, cultural performances, and the showcasing of Le Look’s unique, afro-centric luxury lifestyle branded bags.

A Legacy of Excellence
Founded in 1985 by Chief Mrs. Chinwe Ezenwa, Le Look has grown from a small women-led business into a globally recognized manufacturer of high-quality bags, exporting to international markets.

Over the years, the company has stayed true to its mission of strengthening local manufacturing, creating jobs, and transferring skills to women and youth in enterprise.

The Le Look Academy, with locations in Abuja, Enugu, and Lagos, provides hands-on training in bag-making and digital skills, equipping learners with the necessary skills to succeed in the dynamic global landscape.

The academy has partnered with international and government institutions to promote trade and build capacities for the continent.

Le Look has partnered with organizations like the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to empower artisans and unemployed youth.

The company has also received notable recognition, including being the first Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) to receive the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate from the Nigeria Customs Service .

Celebrating Resilience and Entrepreneurship
Chief Ezenwa emphasized that the anniversary celebration is not just a milestone but a call to sustain entrepreneurship in Africa’s fast-changing economy. With over 300 distinguished guests expected, including senior government officials, private sector leaders, and development partners,

The event which was attended by Maritime stakeholders Chief Greg Ogbeifun , Hadjia Bola Muse also had in attendance Chief Nrs. Erelu Olusola Obada.

It was a celebration of resilience, creativity, and the power of Nigerian enterprise .
