NAGAFF INAUGURATES TRADE WAR COMMITTEE ,HOLDS WORLD PRESS CONFERENCE AT NAGAFF HQRS

The newly inaugurated National Association of Government approved freight forwarders ( NAGAFF) Trade war committee may today call for the immediate removal of some key officers of the federal government of Nigeria assigned to ports for their incompetence and corruption

A statement issued and signed by Dr. Clement Nwegbuna on Friday said The corruption level at the ports and borders have gotten to the level that the whole concept of renewed hope agenda of Mr President is suffering a set back at the ports and borders

“Our understanding of renewed hope agenda of Mr President is to the extent we shall be patriotic , working hard and being constitutional in our actions

It is sad and regrettable that some of the heads of Government incharge of the ports are not interested in addressing issues of corruption even when their attention is drawn .

Most of the heads of Government usually seats in the comfort of their offices in Abuja and issue instructions without moving out to engage the critical stakeholders .

A leader must be responsive to the operating conditions of its allies and direct officers at the field to ascertain how they are fairing , that shall be the essence of over sight and supervision*- the statement said

According to the statement Nagaff can authoritatively state that most of the leaders and members of freight forwarding associations do not know who is incharge of Government parasatals at the entry points of Nigeria, other than seeing someone in the national televisions issuing instructions

“We are all witnesses to the efforts of Mr President visiting other countries and attracting investments into Nigeria, why can’t he seat at the villa in Abuja and wait for investors to come to him, only for his officers to seat in the comfort of their offices in Abuja and some times overseas issuing instructions

A modern day administration is based on principles of public/ private partnership. This is the way a leader can ascertain and recieve feed backs on the state of affairs

Regrettably thesame people will be asking of extension of tenure from Mr President for their selfish interest and denying the young one’s to be challenged in their chosen career”
