*Nigeria Customs Service Advises Travellers on Responsible Use of US Visas*

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has issued a public advisory urging Nigerians to use their US visas responsibly.
In a statement issued and signed by Customs Spokesperson Abdullahi Maiwada, the service highlighted concerns raised by the US government regarding the misuse of entry visas by Nigerians, which can lead to visa revocation and other consequences.
The NCS cautioned Nigerians against engaging in activities inconsistent with the stated purpose of travel and visa classification. The US authorities continuously monitor visa holders’ activities and can revoke visas if immigration protocols, import/export guidelines, and other laws are violated.
Additionally, the NCS reminded travellers to declare excess cash above $10,000 or its equivalent at exit or entry points and ensure that prohibited items are not included in their baggage. This advisory aims to promote responsible travel practices and compliance with US immigration laws and regulations.
By issuing this advisory, the NCS seeks to educate Nigerians on the importance of adhering to visa regulations and avoiding any actions that may lead to visa revocation or other consequences. The service’s efforts are geared towards promoting a smooth and hassle-free travel experience for Nigerians visiting the US.
