NNPP Crisis: Kwankwaso’s Propaganda Laughable – Danmasani

By Babatunde Aremu

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) crisis has taken another turn as The National vice Chairman of the party North west Alhaji Sani Danmasan has dismissed Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s claims as laughable propaganda.

In a statement issued and signed on Wednesday , Danmasani stated that Kwankwaso is in a hurry to leave the NNPP, despite being already expelled, before the final outcome of the ongoing judicial review at the Federal Capital Territory High Court Abuja.

He noted that the FCT High Court had issued an enrolment order restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from dealing with Kwankwaso’s faction of the party pending the outcome of the judicial review.

Danmasani also recalled that the Abia State High Court had delivered a judgement in favour of the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees of the NNPP, allowing them to conduct congresses and a Convention of the party, which has been submitted to INEC.

The NNPP chieftain claimed that Kwankwaso and his group were startled by the judgement and have approached the FCT High Court in defence, further fuelling the party’s internal crisis.
