Tin Can Customs  Surpasses N154 Billion revenue in October 2025

By Babatunde Aremu

The Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, under the leadership of Comptroller Frank Okechukwu Onyeka, has once again demonstrated exceptional performance by generating a staggering ₦154.38 billion in revenue for October 2025 – its second-highest monthly collection on record.

This impressive achievement follows the Command’s historic high of ₦159 billion in August 2025, a milestone attributed to the successful implementation of the B’Odogwu Unified Customs Management System. This indigenous software platform has significantly enhanced trade facilitation and operational efficiency.

The key drivers of success include the B’Odogwu platform which has streamlined customs processes, boosting transparency and revenue collection. The leadership excellence of Comptroller Onyeka’s strategic direction and commitment to innovation have also been pivotal. The collaborative synergy further plays a significant role. The Command’s alignment with the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, and its embrace of the NCS’s core values—collaboration, consolidation, and innovation—have fueled its upward trajectory. The Stakeholder Engagement is not left out in the success story. The CAC has consistently acknowledged the dedication of his officers and the support of stakeholders in achieving these results.

With this momentum, the Tin Can Island Port Command continues to set the pace for customs operations nationwide, reinforcing its role as a vital revenue hub for Nigeria.
