BOAN PRESIDENT CONGRATULATES ANLCA ON 72ND ANNIVERSARY, HAILS ROLE IN TRADE FACILITATION

The President of the Barge Operators Association of Nigeria (BOAN), Hon. Olumekun Olubunmi, has congratulated the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) on the occasion of its 72nd Anniversary.
ANLCA is celebrating the milestone with a series of activities culminating in its grand anniversary celebration on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in Lagos. The anniversary is being celebrated under the theme, “ANLCA @72: Celebrating the Legacy of Professionalism, Advancing Trade Facilitation and Shaping the Future of Customs Brokerage.”
In a goodwill message, Olubunmi described the anniversary as a significant milestone in the history of Nigeria’s maritime and trade sectors, commending ANLCA for its longstanding contributions to customs brokerage, freight forwarding and the development of the nation’s port and logistics ecosystem.
He noted that the theme of the anniversary underscores the importance of professionalism, collaboration and effective trade facilitation in strengthening Nigeria’s maritime industry.

This milestone represents decades of professional service and meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s maritime and trade ecosystem,” Olubunmi said.»
The BOAN President emphasised the importance of collaboration among customs agents, terminal operators, shipping companies, barge operators, government agencies and other stakeholders in achieving a more efficient and integrated port and logistics system.
According to him, stronger cooperation among maritime industry stakeholders remains essential to improving cargo movement, facilitating legitimate trade and supporting the growth of Nigeria’s maritime economy.
He further expressed BOAN’s commitment to continued collaboration with ANLCA and other industry associations in advancing common interests within the maritime sector.
«“As stakeholders in the same maritime ecosystem, BOAN looks forward to deeper collaboration with ANLCA and other industry associations in promoting efficient cargo movement, seamless trade facilitation and a more productive maritime environment,” he added.»
Olubunmi also wished the leadership and members of ANLCA continued unity, progress and institutional growth as the association begins another chapter of its long history.
He congratulated ANLCA once again on its 72nd anniversary and commended the association for its enduring role in Nigeria’s customs brokerage, freight forwarding and broader maritime industry.
