The Kanwan Katsina III and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni, has called for deeper collaboration between the media and security agencies to strengthen national development and enhance border security.

A retired Customs Comptroller and Patron of the NUJ, the monarch stressed that closer ties between journalists, the Customs Service, and other security agencies would foster transparency, improve public awareness, and bolster anti-smuggling efforts. He congratulated the Area Controller, Mohammed Sai’du Musa, on his recent promotion and posting to Katsina, urging him to prioritize revenue collection and intensify border operations.

NUJ Chairman, Comrade Aminu Dandagoro, echoed the monarch’s remarks, pledging the union’s commitment to responsible journalism and accurate reporting.

In his response, Comptroller Musa welcomed the delegation warmly, assuring them of an open-door policy with the press to ensure effective service delivery. He expressed delight at receiving his former boss, Kanwan Katsina, among the delegation and thanked him for his words of encouragement.
